The Joy of Togetherness is a proposed public sculpture for the junction of St John’s Road and Stockport Road, Manchester in Longsight, Manchester. The work celebrates the cultural diversity and strong community spirit of the area through a dynamic composition of interconnected sculptural forms. Rising upwards in a flowing movement, the sculpture symbolises unity, shared identity, and the vibrant energy of people coming together. The Project: "The Joy of Togetherness" Designed by Joseph Ayavoro, this 4-meter, welded 316L mirror-polished stainless steel sculpture is designed to act as a beacon for the A6 corridor. * The Vibe: It’s liquid, reflective, and bold—bringing a high-design "city centre" aesthetic to one of Manchester’s most diverse residential hubs. * The Impact: The piece reflects the Manchester sky and the vibrant local life of M13, turning a neglected park entrance into a prestigious local landmark. Why Capital & Centric? Longsight is a neighbourhood with incredible "character," much like the areas you specialise in. While this isn't a direct residential development of yours, co-sponsoring this project would: * Demonstrate Social Impact: Align your brand with the regeneration of the A6 corridor, showing that C&C’s commitment to Manchester extends beyond the ring road. * Community Legacy: Your involvement would help fund the community engagement phase—bringing local schools and residents into the design process. * Visible Brand Alignment: The sculpture’s polished steel finish matches the "design-led" ethos of your most famous projects. We are looking for a lead "Visionary Partner" to provide a portion of the fabrication match-funding or to lend your team's expertise in navigating the public realm planning process.
